I originally started of as a get together for
friends and family last year and it was a really good night.
So I thought why not do it again this year for charity.
After looking for a worthy charity we still cannot decide what or who to
donate any money that is left over to.
After reading about Courtney I have decided this is definitely a good
cause.
Thanks to Pat
Last year we raised approx £2300
More Details to follow.
What a fantastic night of fun dance drink and eats the band kept
all the dressed up dancers going for most of the night.
England Shirts and the West Ham Shirt, Ball and Boots raised
over £300. (thanks John)
The only problem was the thieves who stole lots
of drinks and optics after the event
then bragged bout it in the local and recovered 3 large bags full of it.
and the GUTTER THIEVES who stool the raffle money in the black

Hi Rob, I just wanted to let you know that the company that I
work for,
Richburns Ltd have taken Courtney to their hearts and have been busy
fundraising for her appeal.
A few weeks ago we paid £365.50 into the bank account which we
raised by raffling donated items.
My boss George Ritchie managed to get a West Ham shirt
signed and framed and this was auctioned by
Tony Cottee at the home game against Tottenham on
Monday 8/12/08 and raised another £700.00.
Tonight we are having another raffle and hope to add to that.

An alcoholic drink at every stop, 27 of them in fancy dress
(powerpuff girls).
sponsor per drink or per completion.
start at Liverpool street 11am and work our way round.
Well we did it. piece of cake!
We started off at Liverpool Street, 11 am for our first drink
and a bit of a history lesson in Dirty Dicks.
Then we made our journey around London being join by Sasha
Bowles, Rachel Udall and a girl called Ray.
27 drinks each were consumed but that wasn't the hard part.
Finding a pub was fine but finding one open was tricky then we
are walking to the station waiting for the train and then
walking out again.
Bums, thighs and calves were hurting.
12 hours later we arrive back at our starting point for last
orders.
It was fun but a real challenge. We were merry but not drunk so
no pics of being sick or falling over im afraid.
We are all really please we achieved this for Courtney.
There is photo evidence and a list of all the pubs/bars that we
went into with the bartenders signature attached.

On the downside their were some big brother issues which will be
followed up on
where some jobs worth's "security" men were chasing some walkers
from the shopping area
even wanting to call the police and even man handling some
walkers.
this big brother attitude even went as far as waiting to stop my
parents
who were not involved in this event but were innocent bystanders
asking how it was going.
They were told that that area is private property and as such
something's were not allowed.
DID YOU KNOW THAT ROMFORD IS
PRIVATE PROPERTY?
it transpires that you have the Brewery, Liberty and the mall
different companies for different areas.
After contacting the relevant
departments involved in the incidents
we now know that any future events would have to have the
consent of the relevant private company who runs the part of the
Romford complex
Which of course we will do.
Any way on a pleasent note the walk raised a nice amount which
took a while to count.

SPECIAL MENTION
15th January 2009
What a fantastic, generous surprise we had when a
letter arrived with a
VERY substantial cheque amount was delivered to us.
Ann & Michael from Chadwell Heath, Romford
Essex.
(without going into details which we think should remain
personal to the family.)
During 2007/8 Michael 57yrs old was diagnosed with a very
serious illness
It was decided that to help with his ongoing treatment funding
events were planned to raise funds.
So with the help and support from his wife Ann his family,
friends and colleagues from work.
Events were planned like sponsored walks which raised several
thousand pounds.
Also with donations from Robin Van Percy.
Unfortunately time had caught up with Michael and after having
to endure extensive and painful treatment
he sadly crossed over on 9th June 2008 before the donations
could be put to full use.
He always said "that if i didn't need the money I would like
to help someone else who needed it just as much as me".
With his kindness and with his wife Ann's permission
and with the agreement of all the friends and colleagues at
Thames Water who all helped in this donation.
You can rest assured that this substantial donation has been
paid into
Courtneys Account IN MEMORY TO MICHAEL so as to help in
her ongoing treatment and well being
Please keep up with Courtneys progress and of course come to any
events that we are planning.

Ann & Michael
On behalf of Courtney and her Family
A BIG THANK YOU VERY MUCH
STOLEN COLLECTION BOX
ya know what I have just received some slightly upsetting news
